“Trapped at birth” is a reflection of how none of us necessarily choose to be born where we are born, nor do we choose our cultural background(s), for that matter. And yet, here we stand, born into these interesting, predefined forms of labels + identification from our very first breath, onto our last. Doing our best to navigate the intricacies of what will appease government entities, where all I want to do is live my life in peace.
