For those who aren’t aware of the history behind the “dunce hat”, it is quite an interesting read of how the concept itself came to be.

From a once highly regarded theologian (oddly enough with a last name of Scotus) back in Duns, Scotland to later being labeled as a spoof for his outlandish thoughts, Scotus’ iconic cone shaped hat somehow evolved into a form of social shaming kids in classrooms as part of the norm throughout European + American history. But who is to say whether my freedom is better than your freedom?

Like my piece says, it’s all in your head because we are all born into some degree of restrained freedom, whether you choose to believe it or not.
