forgotten history
I called this piece, “forgotten history”. I was inspired by the Easter Island head statues that were believed to not have a body until archeologists began digging a little deeper (no pun intended). No one knows of its origins or its purpose, yet they exist in plain sight, as part of our human history.
It also made me realize how in general, many many people appear to lack interest in learning about human + world history, further perpetuating a broken cycle of mistakes throughout human evolution.
If we opt to forget these things ever existed, imagine how quickly all other historical events will fade with time through prescribed narratives + calculated omissions of critical information in our foreseeable future?
