conflicted

This piece reflects my mixed emotions of how I fit into the “game of races”. I’ve been discriminated against by other nationalities/ethnicities outside of the Caucasian community, ironically enough, mostly within the USA, considering it touts itself as the “melting pot”.

Rodney King once said, “CAN we all just get along?” One can only hope. Speaking from personal experience, I’ve found people who aren’t familiar with other nationalities/ethnicities outside of their own, can at times behave erratically to overcompensate for their own insecurities + fears.

NO excuse for it, but nonetheless a reality for many, unfortunately.
