Unexpected life events happened. I created small prints for my mom’s memorial service. She LOVED butterflies, so I became inspired by a blue morpho butterfly endemic to South America.

But rather than focus on its ubiquitous iridescent blue wings they are famously known for, I was fascinated with the beautiful underside of its wings that most have a tendency to forget it even exists. I want those who stop by to pay their respects to have something that will bring up fond memories of her without being to overt about it.
